Both cassette decks have auto reverse mechanisms, allowing for long-term listening and recording capabilities. Continuous Play with Auto Reverse select from several modes of playback-choose to play back all of tape A, then all of tape B or play the front side of tape A then the front side of tape B, then play the back side of each tape. Or, just use standard continuous play-load two cassettes into the unit, and select PLAY on each deck. When tape A finishes and shuts off, tape B will begin to play, allowing for uninterrupted listening. Dolby B & C Noise Reduction greatly reduces irritating tape hiss while increasing dynamic range on Dolby B or Dolby C encoded cassettes. Dolby B reduces noise by approximately 10 dB, while Dolby C reduces hiss by a whopping 20 dB. Full-Logic Tape Transport provides electronic, rather than mechanical, control of the drive system of the cassette deck. It delivers more reliability, smoother operation, and quicker one-touch control. To fast forward a cassette that is playing, simply touch the fast forward button then touch the play button when you desire. On mechanical transports, you would have to stop the tape, press fast-forward, press stop, then press play. Metal Tape Capability provides optimum playback calibration with both normal bias tapes as well as high-bias and metal-position cassettes.
